What makes ralph an attractive leader




















Ralph wants to be a true leader and perform to his greatest ability, doing what is best for all the boys. Jack however, is merely hungry for power, and seeks to be chief merely to gain adoration. A good leader is one who knows how to lead with control and has strong leader characteristics. Although many supporters feel that Ralph is the best leader, it is evident that Jack is the better leader because he can effortlessly control the group on the island.

Ralph demonstrates his excellent leadership skills throughout the book by keeping the group in line, treating everyone with respect, and staying focused on getting rescued. As a leader Ralph tells the entire "tribe" to go out and make a fire this is a sign of his leadership being bad because they have no parameters and set part of the forest on fire.
