Shracks are ugly aquatic creatures that are very light melee units. The only problem with them is that they pop up at the wrong time and in large groups.
They can kill mages really fast, if they swarm them! The only other enemy in this small dungeon is the Unguis, icky tentacles that try to swat your party to death. The easiest way to deal with them is to take them on with ranged attacks and spells. Go north down the tunnel and then east at the end. Enter the large chamber and kill all of its inhabitants.
Go into the hallway beyond and go to the north. Go through the easternmost door and kill all of the aquatic monsters within. Break down the eastern wall to find a hidden area.
Turn them in the following order - east, south, north, and west. Doing so will power up the machines in the previous room. Pull the lever there, then the second one that appears. Go through the new door to find a treasure room. Return to the room where you broke down the wall and go to the north. Go through the southwestern archway to find the dead party that you were looking for.
Just walk over the party to update your quest journal. Explore the rest of the dungeon, if you want. Return to Gregor to finish the quest and get the 35, gold reward. Return to the cabin where you entered the small dungeon from. Go to the north now. This new area contains new inhabitants. The most powerful are the Blue Drakes. These monsters have a powerful breath attack that can hit many people at once.
Take them out as soon as you see them! The Forest Darklings are new incarnations of old monsters. The Wraiths are incorporeal undead and are very powerful. Try to keep your party in view at all times - the Darklings tend to draw them off into the woods, leaving sole party members as easy pickings for the powerful Wraiths. It is imperative that you take these monsters out one at a time.
Ignore them for now and continue on to the north. Go as far as the game will allow you to and then find the small cave opening to the west. There is some nice treasure guarded by Darklings within.
Grab the loot and then return to the ruins. I suggest retuning to Thayne to sell off useless loot before entering. Do just that, if you want, then enter the ruins. This small set of caverns is the home of a large creature called the Fury. The dungeon is guarded by Wraiths of all types, including the new Wraith Mages and Archers. Deal with these Wraiths as you dealt with all the other types of creatures that had multiple attack-types casters first, big melee second, archers third, weak melee fourth.
