Why shahid and kareena broke up

Post their split, several speculations were made about what made Shahid and Kareena part ways. Apparently, while Kareena was much in love with the Udta Punjab actor, her mommy Babita wasn't much happy with the fact that the diva was asking the producers to sign Shahid opposite her.

Apparently, the Heroine actress has always admitted to have a secret crush on Nawab of Pataudi and while shooting for Tashan the two were seen spending some quality time together.

Aditya and Geet are character for the ages and this is regarded as a timeless love story. So ironical it came at a time when their personal relationship was strained and they called it quits while filming this romance. But every time writers and journalists run into trouble, surreptitious sources always land up for help.

And few such sources suggest the reasons were plenty. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor dated for almost five years and were very vocal about their relationship. In an interview with a daily portal, Shahid revealed that he was going through a breakup with someone outside the industry and Kareena supported him during this time. It was Kareena who had asked Shahid out. Babita and Karisma allegedly kept on advising Kareena against the relationship. Kareena Kapoor used to reportedly ask producers to cast Shahid Kapoor opposite her in movies.
